Peter Munk, the new owner of the arsenal in Tivat, paid a visit to Montenegro last week.
During his stay, Munk visited the site of the future marina he is constructing in Tivat.
Mr Munk also met with the Mayor of Kotor, authorities, and donated a ship - the 'Catagalop' - to the people of Kotor. The ship is an ecological cleaning ship, and will be used to ensure quality of the water in the Bay.
We wish to make Montenegro a much better place than Monte Carlo or Portofino are – said Munk, pointing out the income and progress possible from making Montenegro a sucessfull luxury tourist destintaion.
That is why we wish that to happen here, in Montenegro, where we have the opportunity to build and to develop ourselves. I think that we are going in that direction because we have with us the best world architects and engineers from the area of nautical tourism, as well as the experts for ecology and protection of the environment – said Munk. |
